Blackbooks Australian Tea

The first Australian tea plantation was established up here in Far North Queensland in 1882. The tradition continues today & I source my black teas from the nearby Nucifora Plantation in the Palmerston & Cubbagudta Plantation in the Daintree. Our climate is not really suitable for growing green tea so I source this from Northern Victoria, one of the few areas in Australia to produce green tea.

I have been blending, packing & selling tea at markets in the Cairns region since 2009. The drinking of real leaf tea (not supermarket teabags!) is an age old tradition & I love the opportunity to help people discover or rediscover the satisfaction & joy of a good cuppa! Tea tastes great hot or cold & makes a healthy, low calorie alternative to soft drinks or juices.

Lemon Myrtle, Wattleseed & River Mint are Native Australian herbs I use in my blends. Mangoes, Cacao & Hibiscus (we call it Wild Rosella up here!) are "adopted" species that thrive in Northern Australia.

Postage & Handling is $14.85 flat rate (incl GST). You are welcome to contact me with any questions. Cheers, Margie
