With a minimum amount of planning and preparation you can impress your guests with some of Saskia’s favourite brunch basics.

1. Keep it simple and savoury with the ultimate cheese toastie.

The secret to perfect toastie indulgence lies in your choice of melty and mild brie paired with the amazing flavour of Black Pig Ham.

And for a sinfully gourmet version add some sweet, earthy and savoury notes with shaved truffles from Perigold Truffles of Tasmania.

2. Add a zesty twist with Black Pig Chorizo Crostini with orange and thyme

Impress your guests with this simple to prepare crostini. It’s so simple to make your own crostini by thinly slicing bread, brushing with quality Maggie Beer Extra Virgin Olive Oil  and baking in the oven until golden.

Then let quality ingredients do all the work for you!  The smokey flavours of sliced Black Pig Chorizo tossed with the zing of orange zest and fresh herbs, piled high on a crostini smothered with creamy Barossa Valley Cheese Company chèvre cheese are a brunch favourite.

3. Tarts can set your brunch apart.

These wonderful Black Pig Prosciutto, Mushroom and Walnut tarts with Careme pastry will have your guests swooning! These tarts are hearty and rich with the flavour of Porcini and Mushroom bought to life with Maggie Beer Verjuice, The Dairy Man Barossa butter and garlic .

Simply leave out the Prosciutto for a fabulous vegetarian option.

4. Something sweet always goes down a treat .

Ooey gooey, warm and fudgey, these are ‘big kid’ Brownies that complete any brunch.  Using the perfect cocoa chocolate such as the Spencer Cocoa, your brownies will ooze with the flavour of tropical fruits, tobacco, toffee, caramel and malt. Serve straight from the oven with some double cream.
