Noel Fitzpatrick has devoted most of his working life to horticulture.
In 2007  he planted 2 hectares of truffle inoculated oak trees on his South West Gippsland farm. Noel's aim was to establish a regional agri-tourism business. 14 years on and the farm is in its 7th year of production, yielding intensely aromatic French Black truffles.

Fresh Seasonal Supply
Truffles are harvested from late June until late August. Noel believes that 'fresh' is the only way to truly experience the unique aroma and flavour of black truffle. "Our goal is to make it easier for the 'home gourmet' to buy premium fresh truffles in season. 

Cooking with Truffle
Truffles are also very easy to use. Creating a memorable dish is totally achievable even if you are a novice in the kitchen. Our clients are now eagerly anticipating and celebrating the relatively short season, often having truffle dinner parties during winter".

An Interesting Journey
The journey so far for Noel has been one of learning, travel and industry involvement. In 2007 Noel was awarded an International Specialised Skills institute Fellowship to study the European industry travelling to Italy, France and Spain to produce an educational report for the Australian industry. Noel has also spent time in USA and NZ attending and speaking at conferences, then visiting local farms. Noel continues to travel, study and keep up to date with the latest research and growing techniques. He has just launched a truffle growers educational website

The Truffle House
The beautifully renovated the old dairy, now operates as a farmgate pantry, truffle hunt and tasting room, wedding venue, cooking school and truffle farming education centre. 

Truffle Education
Noel is also available as an industry consultant for the development of new farms and regularly co-delivers growers seminars in regional areas.

We post every Tuesday/Wednesday throughout the season, for next day delivery (Express postcodes only) commencing the last Tuesday in June until the last Wednesday in August.

Orders for the week must be placed by Monday 5.00pm for posting on Tuesday/Wednesday.  

Any orders made after Monday will go into the following weeks orders.

If unsuitable weather conditions prohibit harvest, orders may be delayed. You will be contacted in these circumstances.

If a public holiday falls on a Monday then orders will be posted 1 day later (Thursday).

PLEASE NOTE: Postcode must be in Australia Post's Express postcode network)

Orders are packed and posted in sealed bags with cold pads inside. This system is adequate for maintaining an appropriate temperature for the truffle for up to 36 hours.

Please note: If someone is not available to receive your order and place in refrigeration when delivered causing the parcel to be returned to the local post office, spoiling may occur due to extended time out of refrigeration. Truffle Harvest may not be held responsible or liable for any loss or damage under these circumstances.
